Discover Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates classes form the foundation of the original Pilates method developed by Joseph Pilates. Practised on the mat using body weight and controlled movement, mat Pilates builds strength, improves mobility, and develops awareness of how the body moves as a whole.
Each class follows the principles of classical mat Pilates, guiding students through a structured series of exercises based on Joseph Pilates’ original mat exercises while emphasising precision, control, and breath. Victoria Hinds Pilates brings mat classes to East Twickenham, where sessions are taught at different levels, allowing students to progress their understanding of the exercises and develop their practice.
Rarely found in most studios, we teach authentic mat classes as Joseph Pilates intended.
